November is here already. This year seemed to zip right past me. Didn’t get done what I wanted done. But that’s okay. I’m not going to sweat it. They’ll get done in the new year.

I’ve been seeing these GLP-1 ads all over the place. I ordered a bottle. Let’s see if they’ll do anything for this body. I can’t seem to lose weight no matter what I do. Is it truly hormones or is it my lazy writing lifestyle? We shall see.

Meanwhile the younger ferals have been enjoying the cooler days and running around while the older ones have been basking in the sun. They’ve all been cleaning up the boards of food. I added an extra feeding time. They’ll need the extra food, especially once it gets cold. The older ferals don’t catch much during the Winter or really go out hunting. There’s a lot of cat piles during the next 5 months under cover. They don’t miss a feeding.

Book 3 of the Elemental Voice companion series is up next for writing as is Book 2 of Bone Whisperer. The cover of BW2 is done but I need to order EVC3’s cover. Book 5 of Elemental Voice’s cover is done. I just have to write the book now.

I need to go through my writing queue again and prioritize the books again to make sure I’m getting what I need done. I have soo many books to write. I don’t understand when a writer says they don’t have any idea what to write about. I have a tote full of pages and pages of ideas and chapters of books. That’s not to mention what’s on the computer or in the journal by my bed. I just wish I was a faster writer. But it takes 6-8 months for me to write a book because my muse is fickle. That or it’s my ADD. I can’t be sure. 🙂 They both like squirrels.

I’m gonna grab a glass of iced tea and surf through social media for a while. Still too warm for a cuppa but I’m stocked for a bit incase a cold snap happens. Stay tuned for the next installment.

Hootin An Hollarin is now over and it is official Fall all around. I’m unpacking the vehicle and putting things away today from the festival. This year I made more card sells than cash but I still think I made a little less than I did last year. Didn’t seem to be as many people this year. I made a few connections. We’ll see if they pan out in the near future.

Didn’t have a ‘new’ book for H-N-H so I think that’s one reason I didn’t sell as much. I plan to remedy that next year. I hope to have at least two new books out by March of 2025 and another out by August. Time-Lost is almost done and two other books are 1/3 of the way done. I have 5 books open right now. Time-Lost Cover is done and the first book’s redone. Book 2 of Ghostwolf’s cover is up, check it out. I need to do Book 3 of Ghostwolf and Book 2 of Bone Whisperer’s covers next as they are up in the queue next. Book 5 of Elemental Voice’s cover is done but it is still in book bible mode. I have a lot of stories to get out but my muse can be very fickle. Hopefully I’ll have time this winter to get a lot of writing done as it is usually my prime writing time. But I will pub something before the end of the year.

September already. This year is going by fast. It will be time soon to winterize my trailer again. I do so dread the winter though I do get more writing done. But it is cold and my furnace is not so stable a thing. Well I got another month before I have to worry too much about it. September is usually fair weather.

Which I’m hoping it will be for Hootin An Hollarin. Only 19 more days and the festival is here. So if you’re in the neighborhood of Gainesville MO the 3rd Friday and Saturday of this month stop on by the town square and enjoy the craftmanship of various local craft persons as well as the delicious food that will be available.

My muse was not corralled. So I didn’t get much done on the Time-Lost book. It will be out in October. I will finish it before the middle of this month. Did that sound authoritative enough? 🙂 Any way I do need it out before November.

The ravens are gonna be Amla and Sage. Amla is made into a tonic but I can’t remember what for. And it’s the first herb I came to when I listed the herbs wise women use. So they will just have to suffer with these names.

I still need names for centuries-old vampires. They can be subtly humorous. So if you have one you want to share please do.

I lost all my email subscribes from my old mailchimp account so I’m starting fresh with Mailerlite. So please if you want to join my email/newsletter list sign up. Right now you get a short story that’s a twist on the Little Red Riding Hood tale. Later this month the story will be switched to a Urban Fantasy novella as UF is usually what I write, though I do have paranormal murder mystery and Sci-fi.

My new cover for my paranormal murder mystery is up. GetCovers is working on Book 2 of Ghostwolf. Once it is done I will have the two new covers uploaded.

I did get a bit done on the Time-Lost book. My muse actually wrote more than a sentence when I opened it up. But I still have at least 2 episodes/chapters to go before it’s finished. I still got time to finish it this month if I try and corral my muse. We shall see.

The ravens are very impatient. Humans do not impress them, at all. Names really mean nothing to them as they know who they are. And Indy’s just SHE and HER to them. But Indy needs names for them. There’s two of them after all. I’ve been looking up herb & spice names. Amla sounds good with Sage so I may use it. Amla and Sage. What do you think?

Bone Whisperer cover is almost done. I’m going for L. T. Ryan’s covers’ look. Their Cassie books are close to what mine is. Lonely places with a bit of darkness to them. Book 1 of Ghostwolf however is not coming along like I want. But hopefully this last bit of revision will do the trick. If not I’ll talk with them some more. It’s hard to get a closed Urban Fantasy cover just right with normal and paranormal themes. Steve Higgs did a good job with his but though his books come close they aren’t quite like mine. Covers are sooo hard.

I need to finish the Time-Lost book so I can move on to the other books I need to get out. Book 2 of Bone, Book 3 of Ghostwolf, and the last book of Elemental Voice. I also have my Fallborn books, two Urban Fantasy series Book Ones, and The Alliance book in my queue. They’ve all been waiting a long time. I wish I could write a book/month but my muse is just too fickle. My ADD doesn’t help any either. Vella helps a little though, to keep me on track with the ones I have on it. That is when my muse cooperates.

My booth is beside a food vendor of Ribbon Fries and pulled pork so you can buy a good book from me and sit on the bleachers while you eat some good food from the food vendor. Just don’t drop the sauce on the book. 🙂

Still not making much progress on the Time-Lost book. I’ve been doing other things. Some I’ll reveal when it’s done and some at Hootin An Hollarin. Been doing a mix of things. My muse is just not wanting to work on my Vellas or my WIPs. I think she’s percolating something, ’cause some random thoughts about certain things pop up. My brain is buzzing but little is being written right now. So we shall see.

I plan to sit down this weekend and work on the Time-Lost book. I had thought I only need two more chapters/episodes to go but maybe that’s why my muse is stalling as well. Maybe I need to expand the ending a bit more. Right now it is in novella territory. Perhaps it should be expanded to 50,000+. I’m going to see what my muse says.

The ravens are getting impatient. I still haven’t picked human names for them. Wendy Powley has offered up Neva & Sage. Sage I may go with. It is used to ‘repel’ ghosts. So I need another short name for the other female raven.

And I’m still hunting names for centuries-old vampires. Julius Von Helmon is going to be one, the last name coming from a fellow author, reminiscing of Von Helsing. The writer also gave the name Brusarius which I think will be the morally grey assassin’s moniker. But I’m still looking for more names. So if you have any you want to share, please do.

I’m redoing some of my covers. Ghostwolf series is getting revamped. The covers right now are more romance-looking than Urban Fantasy. Luckily there’s only two books out so they’ll be easier to do. Bone Whisperer book cover is also changing. I’ve been told it looks more horror than mystery. So look for those changes to happen soon.
